Visit to Padmashri Awardee Rahibai Popare Seed Bank, Kombhalne, Ahmadnagar Dist.

For the past two years, Srushtidnyan has run the work of primitive seed conservation. In Angavali village on the road of Marleshwar in Devnukh district of Ratnagiri, Srushtidnyan has established a plot of primitive seed cultivation. Over the past two years, 16 varieties of indigenous paddy seeds have been produced on this plot. For more guidance in this work, On February 2 2020, team Srushtidnyan visit to the seed bank of Padmashri awardee, Honorable Rahibai Popare at Kombhale village, Ahmadnagar District .We get inspire after looking the seed bank of millets, beans and fruit vegetables to expand our work in another direction. Team also attended Millet festival organised by our friend Ms. Nilima Jorvar in Bari village. In this festival we see some stalls of Climate Friendly Nutritious Food, local dance of tribal etc. Kunal, Frida and Julia from Sweden also made the trek to the highest peak of Maharashtra Kalsubai. It was a very memorable tour for the capacity building of our team for future.
