Save our Sahyadri cycle rally

Fifty cyclists hailing from different parts of Maharashtra traverse a 1,200-kilometre journey across the Sahyadri a mountain range running parallel to the western coast of the Indian peninsula as part of an advocacy campaign titled Save Our Sahyadri (SOS). The journey witnessed cyclists the through biodiversity hotspot at the foothills of the Deccan Plateau between December 1 and December 9.
On 5th December 2016 the rally halted at Angavali village in Sangameshwar district. Srushtidnyan was the partner organization in this area to support the rally. Five Swedish guests welcome the rally at Vanalika, an agro tourism centre at Maral. Students from Janata Vidyalay presented Lezim dance to welcome the rally. Maharashtra state flower plant ‘Jarul’ planted by Mr. Bibhas Amonkar, the organizer of the rally and the five Swedish guests. Ms. Karin Wahlgren, Mr. Rikard Rhenberg, Mr. Yngve Sundblad, Ms. Pia Hallin & Mr. Ernst Hollander from Sweden appreciated the efforts of all the cyclists and congratulate them. Mr. Sanjeev Anerao, Mr. Subodh Anerao & Mr. Manish Anerao took great initiative to support this event successfully.
